Dr. Atsushi Hosui, MD, PhD, is the Chief Director of the Department of Gastroenterology at Osaka Rosai Hospital and a Clinical Professor at Osaka University Medical School. A graduate of Osaka University’s School of Medicine in 1994, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine in 2003 and pursued advanced research training at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). Over the past two decades, Dr. Hosui has established himself as a leading figure in hepatology, liver regeneration, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) research. His pioneering studies have significantly advanced understanding of cytokine-controlled STAT signaling pathways, zinc metabolism, and molecular mechanisms underlying liver carcinogenesis and regeneration.
